ONLINE MASTERING
Setting mixes to the right sound level, make all songs have an even sound, adding "color" or "warmth" to the sound, reducing harshness if necessary... All this and more is part of our online mastering service, the final and essential step of a great musical production.
Suppose you've already mixed your song like you've always wanted, but it still doesn't sound "like a radio hit" - that's where Mastering comes in. If you want your music to sound professional, mastering should be a priority for you.
To do our job with the care your music deserves, please bear in mind the following recommendations: Avoid sending us files that compromise your sound, such as files in compressed format: mp3, mp4, ogg, etc. These formats are not valid for mastering. A 24-bit WAV or AIFF file of your mix is what you should send us.
Regarding the sample rate, use the same one that you used during the recording and mixing process, that is, if you have recorded at 44.1 send us the mix at 44.1, if you have recorded at 48Khz, send it at 48Khz, etc.
Keep in mind that your mix should have a maximum peak level of -6dBFS so that we have enough room for mastering process.
At JingleBit, in addition to our ears and experience, we have fantastic tools to give your music the finishing touch you are looking for:
Mastering by STEMS gives us greater flexibility when it comes to tweaking your mixes.
As an example of STEMS for mastering: You could send us a STEM with all instruments except drums and percussions (guitars, keyboards, etc.), a stereo pair of all drums + percussions, one with the lead voice, a STEM that includes all the effects... This way, we would have the chance to fine-tune any possible problems that your mix may have.
In order for us to work with them, you must export them all from the same point, preferably from the second zero, and they must all end at the same time, they must be the same length.
Please avoid sending us files that compromise your sound, such as compressed files: mp3, mp4, ogg, etc. You will need to send us 24-bit WAV or AIFF files as STEMS so we can work with them.
Regarding the sample rate, use the same one that you have used during the recording and mixing process, if you have recorded at 44.1, send us the STEMS at 44.1, if you have recorded at 48Khz, send us the STEMS at 48Khz, etc.
Keep in mind that the sum of all the STEMS (your mix), should have maximum peak levels of -6dBFS so that we have enough room for the mastering process.
The AI Mastering service brings all the power of Artificial Intelligence to mastering at an unbeatable price.
Thanks to iZotope Ozone 9, the AI mastering process is done fully automatically, without our intervention in decision making.
If your budget is tight, but you don't want to give up on getting close to the perfect sound, you should definitely give AI Mastering a try, it might be all you need.
In order for the iZotope AI to do its part of the job, we need you to bear in mind some recommendations: Please avoid sending files that compromise your sound, such as files in compressed format: mp3, mp4, ogg, etc. These formats are not valid for mastering. A 24-bit WAV or AIFF file of your mix is what you should send us.
Regarding the sample rate, use the same one that you used during the recording and mixing process, that is, if you've recorded at 44.1, send us the mix at 44.1, if you've recorded at 48Khz, send it at 48Khz and so on.
Note that your mix should have a maximum peak level of -6dBFS so that iZotope's AI has enough room for mastering.
One last thing but not least, the AI needs a reference song that sounds similar to what you want to achieve. You will have to suggest us a song that you think in the style and with the sound that you are looking for. If we can't get that specific song, we'll use one that's similar to the reference you propose.
All of us who have ever faced the mastering process know very well how easily our perception of the desired sound can go in the wrong direction. Sometimes from being tired, sometimes from hearing fatigue, sometimes from using a process that could be avoided or used in a more effective way...
Whatever the reason, from time to time we could find very useful to have a second opinion and that, exactly, is what we offer you at JingleBit.
If at any time you are not sure where your sound is going and you need another perspective, here we are.
In order to give you our point of view, we'll need a stereo file of the mix you're working on. Please avoid sending us files that compromise your sound, such as compressed files: mp3, mp4, ogg, etc.
We will need a 44.1 khz 24-bit WAV or AIFF file from you for this service.
Currently, we offer our online mastering services only for certain styles of music: Rock, Heavy, Country, Songwriter, Ballads, Melodic Song, House and Pop. In short, musical genres that we know well and in which we are able to give the best of us, giving your sound the right touch it may need.
